It’s ethereal. It’s inspiring. It’s 2400$. Anyone want to pick this up for me?

Last night we got sashy.

Last night we channeled Martha Stewart and designed sashes for the participants in this Thursday’s One Love Generation date auction.

Pretty fancy, no? It’s amazing what some glitter and puffy paint can do when five girls are inspired by red wine and the douchebaggery of a certain individual who will remain nameless.**

This Thursday, April 7, Trey Humphreys, Ace Amerson & Jennifer Lester will harness the cougar energy at Johnny’s Hideaway to host the second annual date auction where you can find love … or at least bid on hotties with equally awesome dates (dugout seats at a Braves game to tickets to see Katy Perry to the potentially very awkward couple’s massage).

Photos and details of this year’s auctionees are up on Metromix: http://atlanta.metromix.com/events/essay_photo_gallery/one-love-generation-date/2531303/content

$10 donation at the door to benefit One Love Generation, a non-profit organization empowering youth to inspire positive social change through art, service and awareness. More info at http://onelovegeneration.org.

** I don’t want to leave this person nameless and faceless but I promised.

Unabashedly dorky.

Some people try to hide their love of science fiction in boxes under their bed or in their parents’ garage.

Not me.

I have an entire room decorated around my Superman collection. I buy Star Wars books for my friends’ children and Twilight/Harry Potter/Vampire Academy books for myself. I have a “Nerds Love Me” t-shirt. I am — unabashedly and unapologetically — a total dork.

So of course I am amped for James Hance’s (free) solo show, The Dork Side, tonight at The Cornbred Gallery (www.cornbredgallery.com). Just check out his work:

I mean, the man has made a Wookiee into Winnie the Pooh.I hope he wants to make babies with me because that would just be perfect in my unborn child’s future bedroom.

Elliott Erwitt. The man. The myth. The Legend.

Met this legend last week. I explained the hipstamatic camera to him. He then asked if it was an “app” and asked to see my photos. So embarrassing. Might as well send my screenplay to Steven Speilberg and see what he thinks. Or maybe President Obama would like to read my poli sci essay?

Mr. Erwitt if you’re reading this, thank you. But more importantly, thank you for photographing. Your pictures are inspiring – and ensured one particular young girl tried to always be poised, feminine and fabulous.

Snow Bunnies.

Just got super fun news about this weekend. Here’s a hint, I just bought this awesomeness (and yes, the sleeves are removable):

Oh I’m feeling 17 Again. (Another hint.)

Although piecing together fashionable outfits appropriate for 26 degree weather and fitting it all in a carry-on is not as easy as one might think. But it’s fun. Oh it’s fun. Bring on the hot toddies.
